Regardless of your computer configuration, Resort Broadband's Service Manager will adapt itself so that no reconfiguration is necessary. Guests will not have to change their laptop settings when on vacation, and then back again when they return home. The result of a Plug and Play system is higher amenity usage; fewer support issues and increased guest satisfaction.
Private Port Security: Resort Broadband's solution is completely secure from unit to unit. Users will not be able to communicate with other computers on the system, which eliminates unwanted access from potential hackers, prevents viruses from spreading within the network, and keeps individual information private.
Firewall Protection: Blocking your computer from dangerous Internet traffic is important. Our entire network is protected with a hardware based Cisco Firewall which prevents unauthorized access to our network by intruders.
Fast Downloads: Built from the ground up, Resort Broadband's network was designed with speed in mind. Bandwidth is set per unit, which prevents bottlenecks from occurring when multiple units are online. Speeds can be varied on a per unit basis, and our baseline speed of 1000Kbps per unit provides an enjoyable Internet experience due to the low latency of our equipment.
VPN Compatible: Many guests may need to conduct business while on vacation, and Virtual Private Networks are becoming the norm for business travelers. Resort Broadband's network is compliant with all of the leading VPN protocols, which allows guests to create secure connections to their corporate networks.
SMTP Email Forwarding: Email access is the single greatest Internet need for guests while on vacation or in their second home. Resort Broadband's server allows guests to receive and send emails without the need to reconfigure their email programs.
Guest Interaction: The connection process displays web pages that can be customized with property logos, local information, or any other content of choice. Internet browsers can also be redirected to a particular website, which can be a useful marketing tool.
Reliable Infrastructure: Resort Broadband has taken every step to ensure service will be available for guests when they demand it. By using equipment from leading providers such as Cisco Systems, we have confidence that equipment failures will be minimal.
Comprehensive Usage Reports: Resort Broadband's server tracks usage statistics and can run reports to show the amount of usage at any particular property. These reports can be broken down to show the amount of usage per Year, Month or Day. Resort Broadband has also written custom reports that can indicate the amount of usage per unit over any given time period.
24/7 Technical Support: Should a guest or homeowner encounter an issue with the service, Resort Broadband provides a toll-free number to our 24 hour Help Desk. Resort Broadband also provides front desk staff with training and support documents to help guests through most common connection issues. On average, less than 3% of all end users require support beyond what the front desk can help with.
